Hello
That's a strange error. Are there any folders there? If so, what are there names?
Try using Internet Explorer and typing ftp://www.domain.com and then dragging the files.

If I type the ftp adress I get this =
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Do I need to contact my ISP for this error ??
thanks

I must admit that I just upload by clicking and dragging to the ftp page from Windows Explorer. But you need to log into the ftp page, for which you'll need your login and password. Go to the ftp page. When you get the "you do not have permission" error, right-click and select "Login as..." and enter login and password in the box that appears. Note that you can do this in IE, but not Firefox.
I also believe that some ISPs expect there to be a home page, even if it's blank, before the site will function. Depending on what software they use it will usually be INDEX.HTML.

When you tried uploading with an FTP program, did you set the transfer mode to be BINARY (as opposed to ASCII). That may explain the invalid files problem, because ASCII will add carriage-returns at the end of each "line" (thus messing up the JPEGs).
_Meridian_ is probably right regarding the "forbidden" error. You need to have an initial page to load for your website (often called index.html) to allow browsing access. Your ISP should have details.
