pc world 300 quid laptop
fookin brill i thought ill have one them went to the store and was told sorry sir all sold by 9:05 this morning....... lol gr8
for 300 quid who cares if not top spec atleast has 12 mts guarantee

One of my mates bought some pikey laptop a few years ago however, and just as well he paid the extra for the 3year warranty - its been back for a new screen twice, amongst other things!
Isnt always sensible to get the cheapest you can get your hands on.

The ones at the store in sale were new. Only 10 per store. My dad got down there in time too! Tis only a celery with 256mb and 14" screen, but good price for a new laptop!

dont go for the advent ones at pc world. they are own brand stuff and are notorious for going wrong.
i just bought an acer from ebuyer for 399. sempron 3000 which is approx 1.5 mhz.
works like a dream and looks great.

Advent ones are known for going wrong??? I've had my Advent lappy for nearly 5 years, only ever had 1 problem! and I fixed that myself. The ribbon cable needed replacing for the backlight on the screen. Apart from that its never ever had a problem. I'm about to buy a new laptop, but only because this thing is soooo outdated now.
