surround sound on PS2

Saw a surround sound system for £40 on Amazon, which apparently works with PS2. Anyone tried this? Recently got F1 2004, which IMHO is far more playable than the too realistic GT4. Got a cheap wheel / pedal setup, and wondered about some decent sound to go on top. Also need to swap the 14" portable I think!

Any thoughts on surround sound?
