Angry Fecking women and computers!

MrsREV was using the computer last night and got a message in spanish from one of my brothers (my brothers have lived in Spain since they were 18 months old). She clicked on a download link and now I have some kind of virus that even Sophos doesn't recognise. Dammit. I find a personal affront, I've never had a virus on any computer in my life, which considering the amount of time I send online is remarkable.

So if anyone gets an MSN message asking you to look at some photographs in spanish, ignore it

If you need a good virus scanner to find/remove it you will not go far wrong downloading the trial version of Kaspersky.

Well, Kaspersky on-line scan found loads of stuff. Not a good day for the other products. All of the viruses found were well known so I'm not sure why the other products failed to find anything.

You need to 'un-install' your wife's fingers I think

Kaspersky is fantastic at finding viruses that the others fail to find. It uses much better scanning techniques.

Also, a lot of the viruses cleverly 'hide' themselves from the better known AV software. The coders are using all manner of dirty tricks these days.

Kaspersky is fabulous.
It also seems to use far less system resources than its competitors.

Kaspersky is the best IMHO, i use it on all my machines here, and have now become an affiliate i'm that impressed! Been using it and installing it on customers machines for over a year now. Their tech support is fantastic, as is their customer services. Iain
