Are you looking at one to use for internet access or purely as a CCNA lab toy?

Id have thought your better off getting your standard Netgear/D-link/linksys DSL router then an old 2500 or something off ebay for your CCNA (or two).

Simon.

hi mate, both really, I liked the features of the 877w (54 meg wireless etc)

I've had a draytek 2600G for months now and loved it. configured netgear, linksys and belkin for mates and people at work, I've got a pretty good understanding of routers (not much with cisco mind) so i wanted something up to date,

Am I right in saying i can use the SDM to get started but then the IOS commands would be needed for the nitty gritty stuff.

Not sure if it was this particular model but a mate of mine was trying to configure something similar i.e SOHO Cisco 8*7, ADSL + WiFi and it was a f*cking nightmare as the so called default/wizard is using an incorrect setting for the UK. Loads of moaning on the Cisco.com forums too, it can be sorted by manually correcting the so called UK template config.

Rich
