Can anyone confirm what should be happening with this thingy ?
This is the first use as I've been using the standard AA's. I have connected the battery pack to the controller, connected the cable to the console and controller and power on . . . the power light goes red briefly, then turns green.
I can use the controller but the little ring of light on the controller flashes in an anti clockwise direction. Is this right ? Is it charging ? I thought the little light stayed red and turned green when charged ? If I unplug the charge cable the controller will not power up.
Thanks,
Dunk

I know on mine, when the battery is flat, the little light on the charger cable is red, and it turns to green when it is charged.
The lights on the controller go mad (flashing etc), when the battery is flat, (or almost flat anyway). Sounds like either the charging kit or battery is not working properly to me.
It might be worth just plugging in the charge kit and leaving it for an hour or so without being used to see if that kick-starts the charging process, (the battery may be so flat that it's confusing the controller)...

Cheers, I haven't left it plugged in for long, so you're right its probably not got a good charge yet. Will try it out when I get back and see what happens
In the instructions, thats the paper you get with it, it states that when the batteries are empty it may take 10 mins before you get any sense from them.
It is utter rubbish that you need the box on to charge it though.

Mines on charge now, so I'll see what happens.

Looks like its fooked. Left it on charge for a few hours and the controller won't start.
How do you go about getting these things replaced ? I bought from Gameplay, so do I return to them or MS ?
