Default base system driver on Tosh Tecra 9000

I'm trying to find the driver for a toshiba tecra 9000 laptop, it is listed in device manager as "Base System Device", i have installed Windows Xp from scratch, and managed to get all the other drivers from toshiba's website, but there is no mention of a base system driver.

Whenever i plug anything into the usb it comes up with "device not recognised". i've found a couple of vague references on the web which point to me needing the oem restore cd.. which obviously was lost long ago!

Does anyone have any ideas.. or can anyone help me find a restore cd?

Thanks

Avi
