LCD vs CRT viewable area
Im looking to replace an ageing (but solid) IIyama VM Pro 19" CRT with an LCD. How big is the actually viewable area on your average 17" LCD compared to a 19" CRT as I want something of similar size screen.
Am thinking of the Hyundai ImageQuest Q70U.
Cheers,
Simon.

CRT viewable area is usually around 1" less than the size of the monitor blurb, so your 19" CRT will have a viewable of around 18".
LCD monitors are rated by the viewable area (more or less) so a 17" LCD will give 17" viewable.
