Ive lost all my music from my itunes library. All my music (1800 songs to date) is still on my ipod and I wondered if anyone could post a step by step instruction as to HOW YOU GET MUSIC FROM YOUR IPOD BACK TO YOU LIBRARY

tell us if you are on a mac or PC and I can tell you how to get the songs back to your computer.

and if you cant be bothered to wait, just do a search for ipod, itunes recovery etc.

How did you lose all your tracks off your iTunes? Get iTunes to search for all music on your pooter.

Are you using a Mac or PC? If a Mac then grab a copy of the rather Excellent Podworks, that will do exactly what you want (copy from iPod to computer) I've used it myself numerous times and it's fantastic.

If it's a PC, then there are PC apps that'll allow you to do it, I can't recall the names of any, but I'm sure others will mention them, plus have a look here for PC software, which could well do what you want

reinstall itunes and get it to do a search for any music files.

enable it as a usb drive, then copy the file structure to your PC - and sort it out from there.

I used Windows search to find all the music files, copied them into one directory then told iTunes to sort it out using File|Add Folder to Library... Make sure you go to Edit|Preferences, Advanced and tick 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library'

Worked for me.
