hunting around for info on how to convert macros from one format to another. anyone know any issues with excel macros written in office xp (2000or2002 i think?) being used in office 2003. Can they be converted?

What is the macro trying to do, as you may just need to set up a reference to the newer office libraries in the office 2003 versions

Depending on what features you've used, it may work ok. Should, at least, all be backward compatible anyway. Check to see if there are any custom functions that have been added that you'll need to port over.

Open the file in Excel 2003, open the VB editor, click on tools, refernces, check that the MS Office 11 library is selected, and if there, remove any of the refernces to older versions of Office.
