Games are Region free at the moment. There is a slim chance that could change but it's unlikley. UMD movies are region coded but if you buy a jap console then jap/Europe are the same region code (2) so even if they do lock the games down in future is won't bother you as uk/jap will play region 2.
Power supply is a single worldwide unit 110-240 @ 50-60Hz all you will need when you get home is a bog standard printer power cord with the figure 8 connector on it (£3 from any comet/dixons)
that's about all I can think of. I've been using my Jap console since January this year with no problems with games/umd's or power.
hope that helps
Craig.

Currently all PSP games work in any region. However Sony could change this anytime they wish. UMD films ARE region locked. China is in it's own region 6, so if you buy a foreign unit, you will need a Japanese version as they are in region 2 - the same region as the UK. Sony may also try to lock down online game-playing by region in the future. We all know that Sony Corp are full of cute bunnies & would never dream of locking down games in order to make more money though!

Lots of sale in HK at around the HK$2000 for the value pack. You can probably negoiate a deal with some games.
Stores like Fortress, Talin, etc are similar to Dixons. They are a little more expensive but if you ask nicely they can sometimes move on price. If you want to use your credit card, make sure you follow them to the machine. There is a problem with card cloning wherever you go.
There will be places in Mong Kok, etc that will be cheaper and more open to negoiation. Although I would only pay cash in these places.
Assume £1 = HK$13.6 or thereabouts a fortnight ago.

Okay, I managed to get two PSP's last night, the Value packs in black (they also have white and clear ones). They came to 1690 HKD each which is something like 130 GBP.
I went to the Golden Computer Arcade and Shopping Centre in Sham Shui Po (MTR D2 exit). There are loads of small shops selling consoles / pc parts and I just went to most shops to find the best deal for what I wanted. The prices are all fairly similar and they don't offer much discount either!!! I ended up getting 2 PSP's, Burnout Legends, FIFA 06, 1 GB memory stick, a Nintendo DS and Ridge Racer for a shade over 6000 HKD.
I tried all the consoles and the games were sealed, I was warned that if you get offered a PSP at about the 1500 mark it is a fake, not a good deal.

well were stayin in guangzhou, which is in southern china. apparantly hong kong is a 2 hour train ride away.
wat sort of prices are the games on their own??
the price of a fakeone is not much less than a real one then, so it may seem like a good deal at the time????
