Need a new laptop around £600 to do basic stuff liek surfing, office docs and the downloading.

However, the most important feature i need it for is

Charting and trading applications. These application will be very memory hungry and constantly be updating with new information.

So any recommendations would be fantastic.

Also, is it best buying something from a company like Dell or get a branded one.

Another thing i need is decent warranty. I know Dell have decent warranty as i used them before.

Last time I cheked Dell was a branded one

Dell/HP/IBM for mainstream guys who can do you decent support.

Have used both Dell and HP at work for many different tasks for users thoughout the company and no real complaints.
