Question Recover SYS password for oracle 9.2 database?

One of the devs left and he's taken the password with him for one of our dev servers. I'm trying to sort out this stuff out before I close the project down, so anyone have any ideas?

Have spoken to one of my DBA's and they suggest (assuming you know it) Login to the DB as the SYSTEM user and then use

ALTER USER SYS IDENTIFIED BY <type in new password>
