Anyone got an idiots guide to setting up the wi fi first? i'm failing miserably

What do you need to know? PSP wireless connection is very unstable even on 2.5. It's best not to use any encryption, just secure the wireless network by MAC address & turn off SSID. Otherwise the PSP will not connect very well.

Is the PSP wireless light flashing at all? Is it turned on? What steps have you taken to try to connect? What security do you have on your network? The PSP seems to need to be pretty much in the same room as the access point. Which wireless AP have you got?

I have my psp connetcted to a Netgear dg834gt wireless router using wep encryption, works fine for me..

using upgrade 2.50 on psp..

works around the house and across the other side of the street, no drop outs at all..
