Coding: Alternative to SSI?
I'm in the final stages of building/coding a web site, and instead of using SSI to make updating easier, I'm wondering if there's an alternative.
In previous projects, I've split up the coding with simple SSI, i.e. an SSI file for the header, navigation, footer, etc. but have decided I will drift away from SSI if there is a viable alternative, just as a way of expanding my skills. What I have at the moment (click) has been coded in XHTML/CSS, which I presume may limit what I can do.
I've also briefly looked into using a content management system, but I'm not sure if that's possible with the design I have.
Any suggestions appreciated.
