Default Make this folder private (setting) How?

Hi
I am setting up multiple users (as limited account) on my laptop, me being the administrator. This is the first time i have done this. Managed to set up accounts okay. Me administrator-password protected, one limited account with password, one limited account without password. When logged in, the one without password when going through 'My Computer' can see all my files and all of the password protected limited account user files. Okay, would think if you password protect a limited account, the other (no password) limited account should not be able to see my files or the password limited account but nevermind, there must be a reason. Now, finally to the question. I believe going through My Computer, C drive, Documents and Settings, I should be able to highlight my folder, right click, choose Sharing and Security, tab onto Sharing and Tick 'Make this folder private' but it is dimmed and i cannot do this, Why? On my desktop although i have got only I use it and do not have to log on at all, I can tick the 'Make this folder private' Why does it work on Desktop (which i dont need it to) but not on Laptop (which i do). What have i done wrong!

Windows XP Professional / Office XP Professional. We all can see each others "My Documents". I know you can individually password Word, Excel etc documents but would like to make my "My Documents" folder private.
Hope this helps
Thanks

first of all, you need to be using NTFS to get the directory permissions you are after.

If you haven't -get that sorted first.

No, wait!

You can convert FAT to NTFS - can't be arsed typing it all in, so go here:
