Question Recording TV onto Home PC S/Ware Required

Is there any s/w out there so that you can record TV onto your PC, then watch at a latter date.

I've seen the necesarry "TV card" that slots inside the PC with a coaxial input.

What s/w would I need ?
At what cost ?
Easy to use for a non-it person like me ?

Thanks.

Get a Hippauge card, should come with the software to record TV, can just pay back using media player.

I've got an XP Media Centre PC, this connects online and downloads TV guides so you can schedule recordings, like Sky +

Would you have to leave the pc powered up, or would it switch itself on at the appropriate time?
