Default Quick advice needed to save frustration...

Thought my PC was up to running BF2, but would appear I hadn't a good enough graphics card on board. Have just got home with a PNY 6600 256Mb AGP card that I thought would have worked. But looking at the specs in the manual, it's not in the list.

Will it work? Am I better off paying £20 more for the BFG 6600GT with 128Mb memory? I assume that it is a faster chip but will the lower memory make a difference?

Got myself all worked up into a lather in the excitement at playing BF2 and so want to get this sorted ASAP, so quick advice needed please.

Cheers!

Looking at the specs here: http://www.eagames.com/official/batt...s/features.jsp

It mentions NVidia 5700 or upwards. Your card is a Nvidia 6600 made by PNY, Which to me means yes you can still play it. Although you may not be able to play on full whack graphics. You can get a 6600GT with 128MB as the spec says it needs at least a 128MB video card.
