Default system restore feature doesn't work. any ideas why?

trying to use the system restore on my comp but a page keeps coming up saying restore incomplete

tried a couple of different restore points but the same thing happens.

anyone shed any light as to why it's not doing as it's told? used this feature before and everything worked fine, but it doesn't want to know now

I'd guess that it's somehow got corrupted

One way to tell would be to turn off system restore and then back on, but that would lose all your save points so no good from the sounds of it

What exactly is up with your email?

I always got that message when I had Norton installed, since dumping that pile of crap and using Nod32, system restore works perfectly.

thanks for the tips and links guys, seems the problem was virus related

but now seems all sorted

bit new to this computer lark but stumbled across a programme called CCleaner (crap cleaner!) which seems to have sorted my email/computer problem, so if anyone's having comp problems maybe this is worth a look?

*waits to have someone tell me it's a dodgy bit of software*

thanks again
