Default Turning off the password??

How do you switch off the password function on bootup, so my PC starts without asking for a password??

Cheers,

Craig.

if you mean a boot up password - this is set within the bios - hit DEL when booting up

Kieran,

I tried this and got the PASSWORD DISABLED message in the BIOS. When I booted up afterwards it still asked for a password. I never even set a password in the first place.

Which password are we talking about here? A system password or your Windows login?

Default Hey Presto

go into the system bios at boot normally del or F2, find the admin section were the password is and change password, but type nothing and hit return, it will say password disabled.

Minted aye,

Thanks for the reply but if you read the third post down you will see I've already tried this.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? This is normally a jumper or you have to pull out the watch battery when the power is diconnected in side the PC on your motherboard. The only problem then is that all the BIOS settings will default though.
