TO all the people who have a amercian bought psp.

will it play a uk sourced game i.e. the ones in the shops over here, also does this apply to the films. or are there regions on the films??

i heard that they will play all games from any market but not the films

also does this apply the other way round with a UK psp. i.e will it play games and films bought from america

any info appreciated thanks

 

it will play all the games from other countries but it wont play the movies as they are region coded.
This is the same with all the psp's from other countries.

 

Apparently though some sort of crack is due to be released so they will play anything, even pirated games stored onto memory sticks

i presume the uk one will play all the games but only uk films too, no worries its just my brother is over from the states and i want to buy him a game but obviously i gotta know if it will work, i was gonna buy him a film too won't bother now

 

Yes all the games will work only the UMD movies are region encoded, US movies will not play on a UK PSP and vice versa.

 

Just be wary of this in the future though. The hardware etc is in place to make games region coded as well, it's just that none of the currently available games make use of it. I'm not sure that they ever will, but it is certainly possible...
