DVD Compatability Question

I'm thinking of getting a DVD writer for my PC to transfer some videos over. What format of writing / disk will work in my DVD payer; Toshiba SD520e?

As for the DVDRW drive for your PC, I highly recommend the NEC 3540A drive. Fast, cheap and covers all the disc formats you need.
