Default Photoshop Info needed please....

Hi, this is one is for all the photoshoppers out there...

Is it possible to take a colour sample from an image, and then paint an object with that exact colour??. In this case im trying to paint the side sills on an impreza the same colour as the body. Is there anyway of doing this??

Any help appreciated..

If you mean "can you select a colour from an image", then the answer is yes

Click either the foregound or background colour (as appropriate) from the main toolbar on the left and a colour picker dialogue box will pop up. If you then move the cursor outside of the box and onto the image that you want to copy the colour from, you should note that it's changes to a dropper instead of the usual cursor. Just click on the colour you want from the image and Photoshop will pick up the colour

That will select the right colour match, the next thing to do is to select a brush with the setting as colour (paintbrush options> change from normal to colour), this will recolour your cills leaving the tones and shadows how they should be
