Nope, but I don't visit too many web pages where I have to type anything, certainly won't be typing much on the PSP. Logins have been remembered for here, Gmail and Yahoo Groups so far.

Nice

I'm offshore and can't get a USB min B cable for love or money and no wireless so I'll have to wait until I get home.

How's it going to work in paid for wireless areas like airports will it prompt for payment like on your laptop ?

No doubt it will. It handles WPA and WEP encryption. Scoobynet looks better on my PSP than screen than here in my office. Loading times are a bit poor, but we're not talking snails pace.

The browser is good!! A lot quicker to boot up in the morning to check BBC news before work

You can also save pictures from sites to your memory stick, then use them for your backdrops. Great update!

paul.

ps. the Jap v2 works on the US PSP.

Lik Sang, I haven't spoken to my friend for a while, might have changed email... either that or he's fed up with walking to the shop and post office.

Yep it does, but you have now voided your warranty. Sony Japan issued a press release warning of this a little too late for alot of people.

Its not voided, the situation is that the US branch of Sony Computer Entertainment are unable to support this update as it has not been officially released there yet. All of the updates (1.51, 1.52 and 2.00) are all identical between regions.

Plus warrenty work might be a bit hard as my psp is about 5k miles from where it was purchased

Sony US does accept international warranty returns where Sony Japan doesnt(unless you have a friend in Japan who will act as an intermediary and send it on your behalf).

As you say, Sony US wont support your firmware, meaning it would have to go back to Japan(see where I'm going with this...).

Its a bit catch 22 really, you wont get any support until you upgrade to 2.x US when thats released.

I have a JP V1.5 so I wouildnt be able to send it back to Sony Japan, not sure where I stand with Lik-Sang who I bought it from though.

How long does this update take if file is loaded to memory stick?
Does the PSP give you an "executing upgrade" screen or anything?
Will be upgrading from Version 1.0 so want a bit of info so I don't go button bashing
