Question digital camera

help please
I have just bought a second hand digi cam (no instructions no disks)
its a powershot A300
i have managed to find instructions on tinternet and drivers. But when i connect the camera to the pc it detects it ok shows the right number of pictures but insted of my pictures there is just a big yellow ?
my knowledge of computers is very poor so if any one has a idea plz keep it simple

What OS is your pc running? sounds like your machine may not reconsie the file format the camera is storing the pictures, check to see what format they are saved as, a jpeg(JPG) or bitmap(BMP) file us usually the norm,

i'm running win98 the files are jpeg on adobe and i have downloaded win98 drivers from cannon.
