A new firmware update (1.52) for the US PSP was released today. Still no web browser and the Jap PSP has had this update for a couple of weeks now. The update is not available on the Sony website yet but you can get it from the "Network Update" menu option on the PSP itself.

DONT update if you wish to run homebrew software such as emulators as this update will stop them from working.

err..... not really!

As I said in the initial post, you cant run the homebrew emulators if you upgrade. It adds extra security *read: Sony closing loopholes* and has a feature for UMD music discs which have not been released yet.
