Default Another broadband question!!!

I am trying to upgrade to 1meg broadband from dial up.

I called Wanadoo, gave them my number and it came up on her computer screen "BROADBAND ALREADY ENABLED" and broadband is going to my house. She told me to cancel my exsisting broadband contract and try wanadoo again.

What broadband contract? I have never had it or even ordered broadband nor did the people living here before me!! She then said it was a problem with the BT line and i would need to call BT to get fixed. I asked if Wanadoo could sort this out for me, She said they used to do it for the customer but had a problem with BT so they stopped practicing the procedure.

I then called BT who said Wanadoo have to contact them, and the customer could not do it. I got passed around 10 times between the two companies.

So I thought S*D Wanadoo try Tiscali

And guess what they said? The same!!

So if two companies have said My line is broadband enabled, Can i just fit a adsl modem to it and away i go?

Any ideas Adam
