Mines pretty similar. Had problems also with not getting Postcode look up working until I created a folder called TomTom within the root folder of the SD card.

Main problem is that TTN5 seems to loose the sats much easier than TTN3, infact at the moment it won't work in my car without the external wired "mouse" plugged in. TTN3 was fine without.

oh and don't get me started about the lack of the facility to disable auto zoom

Same here (mio168). Take ages to get a 'lock' on the signal and then looses it! TT3 works even when hidden under the lid of that little box on top of the dash (sure it has a 'technical' name!). I'm reverting the tt3 for now

I thought the Postcode lookup was going to be a full postcode search (als UK postcode application) - doesn't seem any different to the postcode searching within TTN3?

The postcode function appeared like that on mine but if you create a a folder simply call 'tomtom' and put it on the storage card with the maps it will work. Also make sure that when you go to navigate to you then click next screen and find the Postcode icon.

All explained here:

Very good of Tom Tom to release the software with a fcukup like that - I wouldn't mind a job on the testing team!

Very pi$$ed off at the moment with tomtom!!! Bought an XDA II i for the main reason of running sat nav and a phone incorperated, but if you run tomtom 3 with phone turned on it locks up!! Turn the phone off and it works great Was going to upgrade to tomtom 5, but the xdaIIi is not supported I may download a copy of 5 and install it to see what happens!! Very annoyed!!!! What other software could i use that decent??

Runs on my XDAII fine! TT3 used to lockup occasionally, but 5 seems much more stable (thus far - although havent done any "big" mileage since upgrading!)
