What TV Card for my PC?
I've used Hauppauge cards for years on all of my machines Every card has been quirky, irritable, and prone to crashing the whole system. You could work around it, but none were ideal. I always hoped that the next card would be "the one". But, alas they just do not seem to be getting better.
I want to watch DIGITAL terrestrial TV, and also be able to record it on my PC. I would also like the diigital decoding to be done in hardware , not in software like my current card. The ability for the decoder to act as a stand alone set top box for a TV would be a bonus.
Anyone any suggestions for something that is nice and reliable, stable and does not crash your PC all the time. My last 2 cards were totally pants, not even worth £10 imo
If you don't know, do you know where I can go to ask?
Thanks peeps

Well I had a Hauppauge PCI (PVR 250 I think) took it back cause it wouldn't install at all. Brought a Leadtek USB tuner, lasted a week before the power supply went BANG (sparks and all! ), that went back last Friday. Just waiting for the refund.
There was a thread on here last week about TV cards. Will search it out!
