Hi
Someone asked this very same question recently. They had a bunch of images they wanted to put on their website. Their are pieces of software out there that can take these images and automatically create links and an index for you.
He was recommended some good software.
The problem is that a) I cannot remember what software he was recommended b) after 30 mins of searching (only allowed one search every 30 seconds
) I cannot find the thread.
Anyone able to help please?

I use BreezeBrowser: www.breezesys.com
Here's an example page created with it: http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/IOM_2003/

Plenty of free PHP scripts which do this if you have php-enabled space. www.hotscripts.com is a good source.

Works for me, and very versatile. Might have been me who mentioned it before, I tried it out the other day: http://www.thegaddfamily.co.uk/

I've tried Jalbumn and a few others. But alot seem very limited or restrictive in terms of templates and styles.
Where I want to make an gallery using my own template design, buttons, layouts and colour scheme as the website that hosts it. not the ones built into the program.
So far no success, interms of free stuff anyway - I still do it the old fashioned way
Any suggestions? I have dreamweaver V6 - is there any free plug-ins that could do this...I've given up looking on google!

I've been struggling with the ones suggested above too. Not tried jalbum yet. I want a website with an area that is dedicated to images. Within this area I want a few different folders to hold images of different types.
Ideally the software needs to remember this structure, so that when I want to add one image to the page all I do is fire up the software and drag that one image to the correct area. It then sorts out all the code so that I can upload the results.
The ones above create great single pages, or single albums, but not ones that are easy to update (afaik). Still fiddling around
