We bought a Xerox Phaser 6100DN at work (I think that was the model - will check when I'm next in the office). We ordered it from Simply (now Misco), as they were the cheapest at the time.

Before we bought it, I had a quick reckon up on running costs for colour lasers, to see how the compared, and there was very little in the per pages costs between all of them.

It does pretty damn good for what we want. The double sided printing is handy too.

John.

I've got a Xerox 7300DN - although its A3 Duplex and probably a little more expensive than you need to pay.

You can buy A4 colour Lasers with good branding for under £200 now, but when you come to replace the toners, expect a £300-400 bill for originals.

Don't buy thr samsung duplex A4 cheapo though, the toner flakes of on anything thicker than 100g/sm.

I have the QMS Minolta Magic Color 2300W

I paid just shy of £500 for it a few years ago, but I believe its down to under £300 now.

I can't fault the printer. Toner carts are about £200 for the colours and £60 for the black, those will print about 4500 sheets.

cheers

don’t buy a hp 2500, takes ages to warm up and the toner costs a bomb. If you move the printer around the carousel can jump a gear and then the toner does not fuse to the paper.

i use a kyocera (cheapest copst per page in class) ceramic long life drum.
£50.00 for black and £65.00 ish for colour toners.

the hp2500 is ok, and you can refill the toners yourself and trick the drum into giving you 3x life....
