Corporate Anti-spyware Solution
I have been tasked with selecting an anti-spyware package for our organisation and after having tested several am still not convinced!
I have tried:
Computer Associates Pestpatrol
Mcafee Anti-Spyware
SurfControl Threatshield
Lavasoft Ad-Aware
I just wanted to know what other organisations are using and what they though of them.
Please help!
Cheers.
HomerJ.

Just checking, but did you test the corporate version of our software or the home user version? The corporate version is built with manageability in mind.

The corporate version. We have tied it into EPO but when comparing it with a stand alone scanner (such as Spybot or Ad-Aware) it shows that malicicious items (such as Alexa) are still on the system.
In fact the problem I have with all these scanners is that a stand alone version seems to work far better that a centrally deployed option. I refuse point blank to install Ad-Aware 1200 times!

Would that involve putting a firewall on everones machine? The reason I ask is that we firewall out laptops using Sygate and it has brought us nothing but trouble.
I would ideally like an EPO sort of solution with centralised management but has the capability to put all spyware issues to a complete stop.
Not too much to ask but once you get past all the sales blurb you can see that the product (more often than not), does not live up to the sales hype (Welcome to the world, I know!)

No, it's all done at network gateway level. See:
