Default how to improve google rankings

Hi

I've a website: www.lanse.co.uk which is mainly used to organise & promote my LAN events.

if I google "Lan Party" I'm nowhere to be seen what do I need to do to improve my ranking on the above search?

Rule 1: Regularly update your site

Rule 2: Make it "accessible" (alt tags, title tags etc)

Rule 3: Don't spam keywords

Rule 4: Get other people to link to your site

Rule 4 is the most important as this is the direction Google are now taking with their search algorithms. But if you stick to those above and make sure your content is good then you will gradually rise. The other alternative is of course buying sponsored links etc.

Good luck.

lots of back links.. and maybe improved meta usage. i am guessing there are alot of sites doing similar things so its not easy to crack them.. If i was u i would concentrait on getting "lan party UK" up there more then lan party itself.. as it will probly be easier to get urself to the top..

either way time is also a factor
