Default XP Home networking

Trying to connect two XP Home PCs via a wireless connection.
A network has been created and the two machines are on the network but they cannot see one another. Is this one of the limitations of XP Home O/S?

I tried to ping the machines, no result.

I have done this with 2 XP pro PCs, 1 win2k adv server PC (wired) and 1 XP home laptop ( wireless) all on the same network sharing fioles etc without a problem.

Did you use the wireless network wizards that come with XP?? Have you updated to SP2 - AIUI, networking is much easier under SP2.....??

Thumbs up

Have you got a firewall running? - You need to allow the range for your network
Test b turning both firewalls off for a short time & see if it works...
If you don't have firewalls running you should defo get them
