Question Lost Dreamweaver define sites

Hi

Win XP Pro SP2, Dreamweaver MX

I've set up my pc on a new domain which has effectively changed the username on the pc. Loading DW, it's lost all the site definitions. (I did use F&S trans wiz). Looking under Docs & Settings, nick.olddomain some files are hidden away there, soI copied them over to Docs & Settings, nick.newdomain. However the sites haven't appeared.

Is there some way I can import the sites into DW?

I'm sure Dreamweaver will be along shortly to entertain your query I have tried on two occasions to use that function but end up back with my old ftp

Go to Site > Edit sites > Import, then browse to your .ste setup files to load the settings back in.

Ah, I was assuming you had backed up your old site setups as I do this often.

Try this - you say you have the files from your old domain? Somewhere, you should have a folder called SiteCache in a Dreamweaver MX folder - this is usually under C: > users > your name > application data > macromedia MX > configuration.

Copy all of those files into your current setup.

Thansk for your reply

I did find the site cache & copied it to the new location, but it didn't seem to help. DW ignores the sites.
