Question Exporting E-Mail Messages

Anyone know how to 'bodge' export of Outlook Express Messages?? I'm loading a new PC and can't use a P2P connection (no Ethernet on the old, no COM port on the new(Ye gods!!!)). I get an error (fault with MAPI process) when I try to export to disc on the old machine: and new machine will not import from a disc containing all the .dbx files, nor will it recognise them if I copy to the approriate "....identities....." Directory.

Hmm.... stumped

Don't know if you have tried this but anyway,

copy the .dbx files to a cd then copy from cd to a directory on the new pc, then import from here into the fresh install of outlook.

Thanks chaps.... I'll give those a go tomorrow. Another possibility is, that I need to set up the (old) folder structure (manually) in the new OE6 (thereby creating the DBX folders) and 'associating' the application with them, and then replacing?

That should work. I usually copy all the .dbx files to a folder called e-mails on my d:\ drive. I then then just point Outlook (Express) at that folder as the default location for mail. Works for me.
