kixtart question
Anyone familiar with Kixtart for login scripts.
I am trying to write a value to:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##NETWORK DRIVE#Network Data\_LabelFromReg from the share name on the 2003 Server and Change it to say Network data.
I've followed all the kixtarts guides and I can't do it
Here is the command
WriteValue ("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##BHTFS01#Networ k Data","LabelFromReg","Network Data","REG_SZ").
Can anyone see anything wrong
Darren

Try using:
WriteValue ("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##BHTFS01#Networ k Data\LabelFromReg","Network Data","REG_SZ")
David
WriteValue ("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##BHTFS01#Networ k Data\LabelFromReg","Network Data","REG_SZ")

Nope, it still does not work,
This is what I have:
WriteValue ("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##BHTFS01#Networ k Data\_LabelFromReg","Data","REG_SZ")
When I run the Script I receive:
ERROR : invalid method/function call: missing comma!
Script: Z:\test.kix
Line : 8
Where am I going wrong
Am I required to write a Readvalue before a WriteValue?

David I had removed the spaces however, the BBS keeps putting them back again as I paste things here.
This writevalue works. I can see why now as well
My book should arrive on Thursday so you should not hear from me again.

No problem
I wonder if using {CODE} tags stops the space?
