Motherboard Problem
I posted a problem about my DVD burner not working after a fresh install of Windows XP Pro but have had an e-mail from another forum saying that if i have a nFORCE2 motherboard this could be the problem as the drivers for IDE driver plays havoc when trying to burn DVD's but was told there was a way round this can anyone help PLEASE lol.
The motherboard that i have is a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro ??

There is a known XP problem with DVD roms - espcially if you have installed any emulation or third party writing software.
Search on the MS Site for the registery hack to fix it.

Ok it would seem the problem all along was Windows Service Pack 2 or 2a maybe 2b if there is one but service pack 2 anyway so if you have this problem it would seem this is the cause of it !!!!
