Default Pentium 1 166Mhz...what type of RAM?

I can't remember - it's been that long since I've dealt with one.

Is it 72pin SIMMs?, and is it EDO or not? And does it have to fitted in pairs or something?

(please no smart ***** saying buy a new PC as I already have - this PC is for some other stuff - Can justify spending £25...but not £250 )

TIA

It is most probably going to be edo ram. But if you want to buy some it will be mega expensive, Compared to sdram, as there is very little need for it.

Cheers - its about £25 per 64meg simm at the moment though which isn't too bad.

Do they have to be installed in pairs?

£250 would get you a complete new pc with an AMD 2400, 256 MB RAM, 40GB Hard Drive, 52x CD-RW, Keyboard Speaker and Mouse set, basically everything apart from a monitor. This includes a genuine copy of windows XP. And you would get some change !

Serioulsy though you would probably be better looking on ebay for an old pc someone is getting rid off and strip the ram out of it
