Default Do I buy a PSP or not

Been thinking about it now for a good few days, do I import a Jap or US machine ??? or do I wait the months for the UK release ???, I'm worried if something goes wrong with it I will be screwed as it's not like you can just take it back to the shop ypu got it from like if I purchased the UK version, also I'm bothered about dead pixels if it arrives and has these once again not like I can take it back !!!!!!

You can send it back, yes it will take a while, but it's not like you can't do it. I'd buy Jap as the region is the same as the UK.

I've got 4 dead pixels on my psp, that's about standard from what I've been reading. I still can't understand why people make a huge thing out of it. I can only see them when the Screen goes to full black during loading of a game. Dark games and film/TV I've never noticed them.

Just get it bought

the Canadian site DVD boxoffice works out to be £151 for the value pack but you will pay 17.5% tax on that.

About the same then once you've bought a game, of course the Canadian one is Region 1, which could be an advantage or not.

My Ultimate Matrix boxset got clobbered by customs. That was from Dvdboxoffice. Then had Post Office charges ontop.

Cheap and early release UMD movies from the other side of the pond. I prefer Region 2, buying from the shop means more to me than a few quid and a couple of weeks.

I'd be VERY suprised if you didn't get clobbered with duty and post office charges. Got a couple of dvds from them a few weeks ago (came to about 30$), and it ended up costing me an extra £10 for the duty and post office charges (the post office charge was ghigher than the duty)

My opinion is buy a Jap Standard pack.

Lik-sang are now down to £149. You will get hit for Tax but it will be £30ish. Reason for the standard pack : I don't use my machine as an MP3 player so the remote is just stupid for a device I allready have in my hand. The standard headphones are guff ( Replaced them with sony in-ear ones) and the soft pouch isn't upto protecting my £200 gadget(bought a £6 case from lik-sang that has a hard outer shell and holds games). you also get a useless 32 meg duo card that you'll replace within seconds of owning the console.

And it's region 2 so if locking games become a problem your on the right side of the fence.

Don't forget to buy a game, that'll be another £30 + tax. Mine came over without one, what a pain waiting for it. Still using the standard stick here as I only use it for game saves and my holiday photo's.
