How many dead pixels?

How many dead pixels?
Just bought one of the cheap 19" Digimate LCD displays from Amazon. Read the reports on the Amazon site and most people said they were good value for money and had no dead pixels. Well, I've just received mine and counted 7 dead pixels. OK, so I only paid £199, but does anyone know what manufacturers consider to be an acceptable level? Would you return it with this number?

Hello
There is a guide here: http://www.lcd-monitor-reviews.com/l...ad-pixels.html but a no-name manufacturer wouldn't care so much I wouldn't think...
Steve.

Aria's policy (who also supply Digimate) is that they consider upto 4 dead pixels to be 'acceptable'. Beyond that they will replace the screen. I think this is for the first 2 or 3 months. After that it is upto the manufacturer - call Digimate on 0161 866 2000 and see what they say. I would say that 7 is not acceptable.

I work for a company who produces LCD televisions and no way would we ask a customer to keep a screen with 7 dead pixels.
I don't think you'll have a problem getting it sorted really.
