Does anyone know if Mount Rainier (MRW) is anymore reliable than normal UDF RW?
Also what the typical reliability of a MRW disc and typical relaibility of CD-RW (useage hours, no. of read/writes etc)
TIA

I don't think that MR formatted CD-RW's would be any more or less reliable. Its just like DVD-RAM discs (kind of).
I should also imagine that the number of writes is limited more by media than by CD-RW file system.

There is a superb white paper here which should help a lot: http://www.plextor.com/english/news/...tepaper-10.pdf
It mentions Defect Management which would be an improvement over UDF.

Cheers.
Some stuff for me to chew into for a while
The defect managment is what is mentioned very very briefly on the Mount Rainier website which focuses mostly on user friendlyness etc. It's that defect managment is what I'm more interested in rather than the useability.
