do i need an emulator ? i installed winuae but really am thick with the rest of it

 

Yep, you need WinUAE and Legal ROM images to run it.

I'd suggest Amiga Forever...a damn good package. They have taken WinUAE (and others) and made it into an easy to use, easy to install emulator.

ok got somewhere now, but i need to download a kickstart rom which i cant find anywhere...got a few great old games i really wanna play too

 

Amiga (The Company) had a big purge of illegal Roms. It'd be very hard to find one.


But the package I recommened - it's excellent

 

Ahh the classic Amiga. I tried this emulator out a while back and it took ages of searching the web to find the kickstart rom. I did get it in the end though and may still have it somewhere. If i find it i will send it on.

 

ok nice 1, im still looking but to no avail so far. excellent games on the amiga i cant wait to play again

Check out the latest issue of retro gamer, they have amiga forever on the cover cd and may have everything you need to play the games. Worth £6 for the mag, I bought amiga forever from the people who license it (Cloanto) and it cost me £40!
