Is there much difference between the old and the new Logitech GT Force Wheel. I have the blue and black one that came in the official bungle with GT3. Is the new one just a bit sexier looking?

It's definitely a better wheel as it has a metal bearing in it instead of the plastic one in DF (GT3 wheel) which can deform and wear and cause problems - plus they have obvioulsy tweaked it quite a bit... www.gtplanet.net has a whole thread on the DFP

 

I have been playing GT4 for the past 3 months and you my friend are talking through a hole in your ****. Graphically GT4 might be a bit glitchy when it gets pushed but playability wise it is at the top of the tree for any driving game. So much so that i sold the Xbox and games as it was gonna be gathering dust under the TV for the foreseeable future.

Twigster, you bought a PS2, never thought i would see the day, i thought you would have been died in the wool Xbox man. Recommend WRC 4, not as hardcore as Richard Burns, but i think you will like it. Hope all is well and when GTR comes out, damn krauts, i will return to the Live arena for some quality racing

don;t want to get anyone excited about the iminent arrival of gt4, but I popped into toys'r'us today for a look at what games they'd got in and they had a ps2 setup playing gt4, so I had to have a go. Must be either an unlocked version of the game, or it lets you play any track with any car straight away, as I could select the nordschlief and an sti v6 without any trouble.

Thoughts - well, no noticeable pop up, very smooth animation, narrow track, and a car that handled pretty damn well. Struggled using the controller as it was back to front for me personally, but even so, I'm contemplating splashing out on a decent wheel as I think this will improve the gameplay tremendously. I also get the feeling that there will be a little less emphasis on tuning the cars to 900 bhp and more on learning to be smooth and know the circuits well.

Can't wait till the 9th now.

Got my e-mail today telling me game wil be popped through my letter box NO later than morning of release lets hope it gets here earlier THIS is the ONLY game i have EVER waited this long for played all the other GT games and this is a MUST have now lol here comes the 9th !!!!

It`s a pity really i`m off doing my professional camping bit for queen and country next week, the earliest i`ll get to play it is the friday. If I don`t fall asleep when I get back home.

 

i just got a text from a friend about 1 hour ago saying that Morrisons were selling GT4 already surely this cannot be true ????

no chance....they would be hammered for doing that - they would never get games again....maybe it was GT4 Prologue?

 

Thats what i asked him but he not into PS2 games so would really need to check it out so got in car and only Morrisons round my way is not 24hr so will need to check it out tomorrow ?? Plus he said it was £32-99 Prologue was never £32-99 was it ?

Just been in our local Woolworths and they have got the GT4 boxes out on the shelf... then a sign saying 'order now for 9th March'....

 

Ok then that would explain it then guys damn will just need to wait until 9th March then what tracks you guys looking forward to doing then ?

Grant, not died in the wool xbox mate, just like driving games! The live thing is brilliant but unfortunately for xbox the games are not up to scratch at the moment and I have had a gutsfull of PGR2!!!! Plus I am not overley convinced about Forza yet, so I will have to make do with GT4 for now!!!

 

been playing Prologue and GT3 all night with my new Driving Force Pro wheel and it's awesome...roll on GT4!

I was a bit dissapointed when I first started using the wheel on GT4:P but then I borrowed GT3 and it feels great, getting my lap times up to almost the same as using Dual Shock 2 so hopefully with a wee bit more practice I'll be beating them....actually makes driving the slower, low powered cars more fun....you can feel them handling differently so when u jump in a Calsonic Skyline you really notice the handling!

The FF in the rally cars is great too...shaking all over the place!

I'm hoping Gameplay get GT4 to me a day early like a lot of ppl say they do

 

My mate got his copy on GT4 today from Bescot Market in Walsall the lucky git, he reckons theres classic shape scoobys, Renault 5 turbo's etc. Cant wait to get a go of it. Said he has already tuned his Skyline to 320bhp.
