In Europe, consoles manufactured before 13 January 2004 require a replacement power cord

anyone think its a subtle MS way of getting everyones serial no. another way to crack down on chipped machines?

will still order one when i find out the serial

LOL I love my Xbox and this is the only thing that has been wrong with it in almost 3 years, but only Microsoft could **** up a power cord.

Do you have to send the old ones back? I've no idea if the X-box is even running off the MS lead or if I used it elsewhere at some time!

MS isnt the only ones, Dell have recalled laptop power supplys of a certain make from 1998-2001. oh well we've been using them for 5yrs now, better late then never eh....

The Xbox website says I dont need a new cord, but mine was manufactured on the 11 October 2003, and when I plugged the cord back in after checking the SN it sparked and didnt sound too good

Wonder if they will send me one if I ring them?

it not the date you bought it flip you Xbox over mate there is a sticker there that says MFG thats the date it was made plus your serial number is there to

They've had issues with 30 leads apparently.
