sendmail help
Hi guys n gals,
Got a problem with sendmail on freebsd 4.1x.
Basically I have set it all up so that mail for a user goes to the correct box for the correct domain and the associated catch alls.
Problem is how do I make mail GOING FROM the domain to appear as me@mydomain rather than me@conepuppy999.com ?
Bare in mind the above was done with webmin and my sendmail skills, what sendmail skills
Cheers

Webmin is just a front-end for changing config files. Sometimes it can just confuse the issue, other times it can be a god-send.
Is the Sendmail box hosting actual mailboxes for the domains or is it just processing the messages and routing them to different locations??

ozzy, the box is housing/hosting the mailboxes, for about 20 domains. each domain has 1 mailbox and recieves all the mail for that domain via a catchall. These mailboxes, sendmail and domains are all hosted on the same machine.

Stu,
Sendmail has a "Outgoing Addresses (generics)" feature that allows you to automatically change the FROM: field.
