i did with the plug and go for a few yrs

the b@stards used to tell me to unplug and then reinstall the programme etc etc it went on for ages

at the end they tested it a few times and sorted

mate it can be a line problem or those filters and sometimes their modem too

get them to come out and test it

Have you tried plugging the modem in on another USB port? Sounds weird I know but when I got mine last August, I installed it in my primary USB port and it worked fine for a while and then started cutting out

Plugged it into a secondary port and it's been fine ever since

BTW No need to re-install the software, just switch it over

I dont think it is my Modem

last night it was on for a while i went downstairs for a while and when i came up
it was still connected but could not connect to the remote server although both lights were flashing away - but when it goes a bit funny the third light 'Data' does not flash.

It was fine this morning.

Could there be a limit to what is downloaded???

Hello

Have you tried unplugging every telephone in the house? Just to check if you have a dodgy filter somewhere. If you have a friend with another modem, try that and see if it's the modem that is on the way out. Try using the test login in order to see if it's an authentication problem.

Other advice here: http://www.adslguide.org.uk/qanda.as...roubleshooting

I have the same problem, I am on AOL but I don't think it is their fault, or of the modem. The DSL light goes out and I lose the connection. It is often very difficult to re-connect too. This seems to happen mainly early am from 0630 - 0830. After those times it seems to settle down. I suspect the Bt dsl line but can't prove it of course.

Boxst is right i think#

I had that problem when i had a usb link,it was caused becuase i plugged a phone in AFTER i had installed the software and connected

apparently its best to get every phone on the filters and set up then install and connect,i did that and didnt have a problem
