Default need a good cheap dvd-rw

as above. seeing as my pionner 107 went **** up it needs replacing. now i'm not that bothered about duel layer though i suppose thats the way forward, what brands/models does everyone recomend. is the new pionner 109 THE one to have? i use it for backing up my xbox games and burn the odd film. my computers black so a black one would be prefrable though not the end of the world if not. oh and cheap as chips cos i'm skint

cheers mike

I got a Pioneer 108 nearly as god as the 109 but i have heard there may be firmware problems and bugs with the 109 with it being new i would just go with the 108 £55 but that was before the 109 came out so may even be cheaper !!!

I've got a 108, and it's been great so far.

I've got a black NEC-3500A - Burnt both 'normal' DVD-R and Dual Layer DVD+R discs without a problem.

Looks great in my Black Shuttle

You can pick up the NEC 3520's for about £40 now. Great value for money.
