Default socket 478 heatsink fan AND CRADLE needed

The cradle which surrounds the socket and is used to attach the heatsink and fan to is broken.

Was wondering if its possible to replace this ?

Can you buy them separately or do they come with a replacement heatsink and fan or do they come with the motherboard ?

How broken? If it's just one of the lugs that the cooler latches under then just buy a cooler that latches under all six lugs. If you've broken the main body of the cradle (or more than one lug on one side) then you need a new board. Should only be about £50 though.

Nearly forgot: if you have the four holes around the socket then get a cooler that mounts in them - although that will be about the same cost as a new m/b...

Thanks guys - after much searching (using the wrong phrase) I can confirm the broken piece is known as an "Intel Retention Module for Socket 478"

I've looked through all the Heatsink/Fan manufacturers websites and found that AKASA indeed supply the retention module with *some* of them, so I bought one for £18 off Dabs.
