FreeBSD FTP Server setup
Hi peeps,
Just need a little help here. I have just bought a new server to replace the one that my shared hosting is on. I have secured it, cvsup'd it and updated the generic kernel and turned off all unneeded services (just so you know)
I have also set up ssh2 and ftp over ssh (security paranoid) Anyhow. I need to be able to access the whole / and below but obviously dont want to do it as root. Whats the best way to do this? Make a superuser equivilent ?
It needs to be fairly secure as the box has done 3.1 million unique hits and 25 GB b/w in 4 days, excluding the weekend.
Cheers

Why do you need to access root and below via FTP? You don't actually _need_ FTP, you can use scp instead. If it's for customers, you should put them in a chroot jail (might be a good idea to run your FTPd in a jail too) - then it will look like they have access to the root filesystem.
